First look: Lucia’s at Address Sky View

2022-02-14

There’s a new Italian hangout in Downtown Dubai, and it promises much more than pizza and pasta.

Lucia’s at Address Sky View promises fine Italian fare inspired by cuisine from Sicily and the Amalfi Coast, and plenty of reasons to stay at the venue long after you’ve finished your meal.

Time Out’s already been in for a feed, and we didn’t want to leave.

The elegant restaurant, designed in homage to the Capri morning light, features brightly coloured lemon yellow chairs and sky blue cabinets and wooden shutters, with citrus and olive trees instantly conjuring images of the Italian landscape.

And that’s just the indoor area. Outside, the terrace is the place to be, with swathes of greenery, more sunkissed seating and plenty of places to take in views of Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai.

There’s a fun attention to detail; plates are painted with bright lemon wreathes reinforcing the Mediterranean vibes.

The food comes from executive chef for 7 management Enrico Paiola, who has led kitchens including including Enoteca della Valpolicella in Verona and Soho House Cecconis, in London and Miami.

Passionate about offering a true Italian experience, Paiola has created dishes you’ll love to share.

Lucia’s torre di crudi di mare is a Sicilian seafood dish, comprising sliced Mediterranean red snapper with a citrus dressing, which can serve up to four people.

Menu highlights include beef carpaccio, with seared beef tenderloin, rocket, parmesan cheese, shaved black truffle and balsamic vinegar dressing, and homemade ricotta ravioli with buffalo ricotta, caviar, red prawn tartare and Amalfi lemon zest.

A classic worth trying is the Milanese di vitello, featuring a 500g milk fed veal chop rich with butter, served with rocket, cherry tomatoes, and parmesan salad.

Desserts include crostata al limone di Capri, a shortcrust pastry pudding with Amalfi lemon cream, meringue, and raspberry gel.

Dinner is just the starter at Lucia’s, however. There’s an early seating from 7-9pm but if you want to dine the Italian way and then party afterwards, book yourself in from 9pm.

You’ll get to enjoy the post-dinner bash, with a DJ set to create daily changing dynamic playlists.

Already the talk of the town, Lucia’s looks set to shake up Dubai’s Italian dining scene.

Open daily. First seating: 7-9pm. Second seating: 9.30pm until late. reservations@luciasdubai.com (04 422 4321).
